The Blacknose shark belongs to the Carcharhinidae family. It has an average size of 1.4m for 10 kg. It has a maximum lifespan of 19 years. It mate in late May to June. It can be fished all year round. The Black Nose Shark has a slender body with a long rounded snout and large eyes. The inhalant and exhaling openings of the nostrils are separated by a skin flap. The body is covered with overlapping dermal denticles that have five to seven longitudinal veins (three in very young individuals) ending in three to five teeth. The coloring is a yellowish grey to greenish on the top and white to yellow below. A characteristic dark spot at the tip of the snout is more or less visible, especially in young sharks.
